Los nominados han sido anunciados para el 2011 Billabong XXL Premiación Global Big Wave con el apoyo de Monster Energy, el cual muestra otra espectacular secuencia de corridas y corredores de olas gigantes del año recien pasado.

Este año se presentan ademas de las categorías conocidas, Ride of the year, Biggest Wave, Monster Paddle, Monster Tube, nuevas categorías Verizon Wipeout que esta de miedo y el Best Performance Mens and Girls Awards.

Esperamos que el premio Monster Paddel se lo gane Sion Milosky, quien falleció hace poco en Mavericks, para qeu esos US $15.000 ayuden a su familia.

La premiación sera transmitida on-line este 29 de abril a las 7:30 pst (pacific standar time) (11:30 am chilito). No se lo pierdan!!!!

The nominees have been announced for the 2011 Billabong XXL Global Big Wave Awards fueled by Monster Energy, and it is shaping up to be another spectacular showdown of surfing's greatest rides and riders witnessed over the last 12 months.

A slow start to the big wave riding season eventually gained a healthy head of steam, and once again huge waves and amazing rides were captured in stills and video around the world, often at new spots by upcoming surfers. When distilled down to the top five nominees in each of the XXL's seven divisions, nearly every category is filled with all-time moments, truly worthy of the being named an XXL champion and a share of the $130,00 in prize money at stake.
